Mobile Content is hot, the need to evolve is now!

Samsung is hoping to expand its presence in the mobile social networking market through a new partnership with Dutch app platform GyPSii which calls itself a “geo-mobility social networking platform”. The deal is indicative of a growing trend across the mobile space.

Major mobile players are accepting the need to evolve into entertainment services and Samsung has made a shrewd move into social media hot on the heels of main rival Nokia.

Research In Motion has released free downloadable software that allows its customers to play iTunes songs on certain BlackBerry models, and is also reportedly enabling customers to access RealNetwork’s Rhapsody service from its new Thunder handsets set for launch in October 2008.
