Club Penguin, Disney’s extremely successful virtual world for kids, has launched its first game for the Nintendo DS, Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force.
“Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force on Nintendo DS will perfectly complement the truly dynamic and robust online environment, making it more accessible for kids who love the game and want to constantly stay in contact with aspects of the Club Penguin world,” said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios, in the press release.
The DS version of Club Penguin will have new adventures, and secret agent missions for the kids to become part of the Elite Penguin Force.
It will also allow children to interact with other players via Disney’s DGamer in a totally safe way.
Club Penguin, was launched in 2005 and by 2007 it already had an online community of over 12 million players. It was developed by New Horizon Interactive, and due to its huge success, it was acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2007.
