The main consoles have been making the headlines lately. Here’s the news.

Nintendo has recently launched a new accessory for the Wii remote, and their press release states that it will again redefine game control. This is also part of Nintendo’s commitment to making games intuitive and accessible for everyone.

The Wii Motion Plus will allow reflecting motions in a 3D space more quickly and accurately and will give players a better sense of precision and immersion: “Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play”.

Another important announcement was that Microsoft is going to cut the 20 GB Xbox’s price $50, from $349.99 to $299.99, and it’s launching the 60 GB version. The latter responds to the launch of the Xbox Live Video Marketplace, which is making 20GB hard drives to fill up quickly, therefore, its purpose is to offer users a larger storage capacity.

The Xbox Live Marketplace will now also offer a game show channel, and the recent partnership between Microsoft and Netflix, will let users to watch all the movies in Netflix’s library.
