Ticker reseller eTix raises USD1m from Southern Capitol

Online ticketing firm eTix has won USD1m from Southern Capitol Ventures. North Carolina-based eTix provides a web-based ticket-sales service for event organisers.

The firm claims to have managed the sale of more than 30m coupons for 2,000 venues globally last year. Founded in 1999, eTix works with various types of venues, including theatres, arenas, sporting venues, cinemas, fairs and festivals.

Earlier this month, Ticketmaster, the US’s largest online coupon reseller, acquired SLO Limited, a firm which offers VIP tickets and travel packages for music shows and special events. The IAC/InteractiveCorp-owned firm also bought British Get Me In and US’s second-largest coupon reseller TicketsNow earlier this year.
