3G iPhone to debut in mid June

Apple’s new 3G iPhone will be available in mid-June instead of by year’s end, reports the Gizmodo gadget website, citing confidential sources.

According to Gizmodo, the second-generation iPhone will likely be unveiled by Apple CEO Steve Jobs on 9 June at the company’s WorldWide Developers Conference. New iPhone pricing packages are also expected as the iPhone rolls out globally.

“The 3G iPhone will no longer be available at a fixed price point—-at least in some countries, and its launch will also bring new sales policies, although these have not been completely specified yet,” reports Gizmodo.
