Gameloft joins with NBA for basketball games on mobiles

Game publisher Gameloft has announced an agreement with the National Basketball Association to develop and publish two NBA games for mobile phones.

The first game scheduled is NBA Smash!, an arcade-style 2-on-2 street basketball game scheduled to be released later this month. A second NBA game, a 5-on-5 simulation, is set to launch in September.

Both games will be available across all major carrier decks, Gameloft says. Pricing wasn’t announced. Gonzague de Vallois, Gameloft’s senior vice president of publishing, says the titles will feature every NBA player and team.
