Nintendo will launch its popular fitness game ‘Wii Fit’ in the US next May 19. The title, which launched in Japan last year, will sell at USD89.99, equipped with Wii Balance Board, a hardware accessory that will help gamers in their workout.
‘Wii Fit’ simulates a workout session offering more than 40 yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance exercises. Gamers can set individual goals and track their progresses over time. The firm claims that ‘Wii Fit’ has sold more than 1.4m copies in Japan since its launch in Dec.
Nintendo’s Wii is outselling rival Sony PS3 in Japan. Nearly 332,000 Wii consoles were sold in Japan in Feb, which compares to less than 90,000 PS3 consoles, according to Japanese sector magazine Enterbrain.
