Facebook, CareerBuilder.com launch job ads venture

Facebook and online job-hunting site CareerBuilder.com are joining forces to help enterprises run job-recruiting campaigns.

Specialized recruiting ads, which will appear within Facebook pages, will be designed to attract specific types of job-seekers.

CareerBuilder also plans to use the site to help corporate clients find recruits. Software development students, for example, in the last year of a computer science degree program, could be targeted by software publishers. The ads will appear on the side of the Facebook site, or within a user’s daily activity summary. Clicking on an ad will lead users to the CareerBuilder website.Financial details of the non-exclusive advertising deal weren’t disclosed. CareerBuilder is owned by newspaper publishers McClatchy, Gannett and Tribune Co.
