Blog tool developer Disqus has raised USD500,000 from Union Square Ventures and business angels Naval Ravikant, Howard Lindzon and Aydin Senkut. The funding tops up an initial investment from Y Combinator and Paul Graham in the summer of 2007. The startup has also released a second beta version of its comment system for blogs. The tool lets publishers organise, filter and moderate comments on their blogs. The new release includes, among various features, an option for users to include a personal profile along with their comment. Disqus has also recently upgraded its platform to let users login with their OpenID using Clickpass.
