Online crowdsourcing technical support site Fixya is receiving USD6m in Series B funding, with the round seeing participation from existing investors Mayfield and Pitango. Fixya provides an online forum for tech support, allowing users to ask the community for help on technical issues on an estimated 800,000 consumer products, from PCs to home electrical appliances. In addition to crowdsourced help, users are also able to access online product manuals in digital formats. Fixya claims to have seen 6m unique monthly international visitors during January this year and has recorded steady growth. No information was given as to how the funding will be spent.
